Just wanted to provide you some feedback:
*The crab rangoon chicken is AWESOME! I just placed a carry out order to pick up some more.
The BLT pasta reminded of us of another pasta that we absolutely loved. I believe it had artichokes in it, but it was a pasta that was able to be served cold or warm. What could that have been and do you have it on the schedule for an upcoming month's menu? (TFD comment - Pesto Pasta - coming on the June menu!)
A funny story:
Relating to your corned beef and cabbage. We were delighted with the corned beef that was on the menu and very much looking forward it again. I made the corned beef in the crock pot and went home later in the day and modified it slightly to add cabbage to the cooking procedure. Well, of course this proved to be a very fragrant addition. When Grandma brought the kids home from school....they had to open all the windows and escape to the outside (kids....). Anyway, me and my friend Tracy (another customer) thought that this was quite humorous so we decided to play a little joke on my daughter. Via conference call Tracy called the house (while I listened) and pretended to be someone from our city calling to inquire about what the > smell was radiating from our house, because they got several complaints called in..... Emily, my daughter, very maturely told her that it was corned beef and cabbage. Tracy went on to say. "Really, well I don't remember that causing such an awful smell." Then Emily replied, that maybe my mom made a mistake. Tracy replied with..."what, isn't your mother a good cook?" And Emily quickly replied "Well....she usually goes to Time For Dinner!!!" I just thought it was too cute that our family considers "GOOD COOKING to be TIME FOR DINNER!" All in all, there wasn't a scrap of the corned beef OR the cabbage leftover from our dinner and that ALL of our kids are now HUGE fans of the meal. (Even our 8-yr old loved it all)
Thank you so much for all you guys do - especially helping us mom's to be GOOD COOKS! :)
Thank you so much! April was the first time we tried Time for Dinner and my husband and I couldn't be more pleased! The meals are phenomenal and so easy. I should be offended that my husband is so excited about Time for Dinner, but it takes a lot of stress out of my life! I have more time for my daughter and my husband after work!
I just wanted to tell you about a great low point meal I just had. 1/2 a baked potato & TFD black bean chili w/ a little cheddar on top! It was great, filling and only 6 points for the whole thing. Gregg liked it too!
I don’t know what I would do without TFD food!
Dear Time for Dinner,
My family is impressed and amazed. My mother and I attended a session for the first time this month and we had a great time. The atmosphere is amazing, everyone is helpful and nice. You all even offered your office for my sleeping baby while I worked. My family of four spends at least $50 to $100 a week on fast food. We eat out once during the week and on Friday and Saturday nights. By the end of the month we have spent anywhere from $100 to $400 on fast food and restaurants. By coming to Timer for Dinner we will be able to save about $150 to $300 a month and eat healthier meals, not to mention the savings by taking the leftovers for lunch. We have used one of our meals so far and it was great! I can't wait to come back next month and I am trying to encourage other friends and family to give you all a try. Keep up the good work.
I just wanted to let you know Saturday was our first time at your facility and we absolutely LOVED it! We had so much fun and everything we have eaten has been fantastic! We are so happy to have found you because now we can always have a great dinner and not have to worry about preparing it that night, and it causes us to want to eat what we have instead of going out to dinner. I just want to let you know how much we appreciate your business!
TFD is a miracle! With a newborn baby at home, TFD has made my life so much easier. Plus, my husband LOVES every meal I have made. It has saved me time and money. It is so expensive to buy all the spices for each dish-that it saves a few dollars every meal. Also, you can't beat not cleaning up after preparing meals. We love TFD!
Hi Paige! We were SO thrilled to finally try Time for Dinner! You have us hooked! This past weekend was a gorgeous Fall weekend, and we did many fun things. My two sons (age 9...and age 6) informed me that the BEST part of their weekend was going to Time for Dinner! I had thought it was a great idea for myself, as I am constantly challenged on what to make for dinner since the boys shuffle back and forth between our home and the home of my 'wuzband' (a.k.a. their father). Time for Dinner just made 'cents'! Dominic enjoyed it so much, that I've decided he could take on a more active role in the kitchen, and so I'm now teaching him kitchen safety and more with cooking! In order below, Dominic prepares our dinner for this evening...the Meatball Subs. From learning to set the oven, to double-checking the directions, getting the timer ready, pulling out the oven rack to put our subs on, taking out the hot dish, and finally, enjoying the fruits of his labor! (We had the Artisan Chicken, which was to die for, the night before!)
My story is not about how Time for Dinner saved money for me, but how Time for Dinner saved me! In October I was diaignosed with Stage 2 Rectal Cancer. After four surgeries and six long months of recovery I'm blessed to say I'm cancer-free! My dear friends from Bristol School and Time for Dinner owner Amy helped me and my family through this difficult time with many amazing dinners and a fully catered Thanksgiving dinner for my family while I was in the hospital, all thanks to Time for Dinner! I will always be greatful to them for these acts of kindness. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I started coming to TFD back in 2005 I think. I was a single mom of two and I split the meals and it worked to help provide a variety of more balanced meals and time savings (not to mention the cost savings). Since then, with my husband - we have a family of four children ages 13, 11, 9 and 7. I don't use half meals too often anymore, but the benefits of TFD haven't changed.
We all have favorites from TFD in our family. Most recently our middle daughter's (Anna-11) new favorite is the southwest lime chicken. We have a family of 6 and we rely on the ease of TFD for our meals. We are a family that sits at the table each night for dinner and well.......we couldn't do that without you! You have taken the pressure off of meal planning, the time away from long grocery runs, planning what's for dinner, pleasing the majority of the table and well - you've made dinner time fun with the awesome menu! Not to mention the fun we all have making the meals. The entire family has made it in now to help me prepare the meals a time or two.
We make one of our dinners a time to review the upcoming menu for TFD and vote on what order we place. My hats off to you and your crew on the wonderful job you all do. It's always so much fun to come there and make dinners. It is also very comforting to know that I have the option to have the meals prepared when life just deals more cards than I planned.
Really....thank you so much for everything. There is nothing I could really find negative about the TFD experience. Truth be told - my best friend and I travel from Illinois to visit you!
Hey, my brother and Finn both said that they thought your steak, was the BEST steak they have ever had. Now, from a 14 year old that might be questionable, but Mike is 60, SIXTY years old. That is a lot of steak comparisons!! thought you ought to know. And we wanted to save the marinade, but I began to see things growing in it in my mind, so down the drain it went. Some lucky micro-organisms are munching on the BEST marinade ever!!
"I wanted to let you know that your staff is wonderful. They are friendly and helpful! They make coming to Time for Dinner a truly fun experience! "
I stopped by last week and picked out 5 ready made dinners. My kids loved the bar-b-que chicken calzones. We had the Dixieland pork tenderloin last night. OMG. I haven't had a meal that yummy in a long time. I think I said mmmmm the entire meal. (my husband of course had to put bar-b-que sauce on it, after scraping off the best part--the stuffing) I am glad we only made half of it, so I get to look forward to having it again soon.
My husband, the bar-b-que sauce king, wants to know exactly where you are located so he can come by and get more meals.

To the wonderful helpers at Time for Dinner,
I came in at the end of July with a good friend, who had been telling me about you for a long time. I was alittle skeptical about the whole process at first. Preparing your meals ahead of time to cook at a later date? Seemed like it wouldn't be all that appetizing, but after I had the first meal......I was HOOKED! Not only did I & my family enjoy the dinners, I had the best experience with my friend & everyone who was working that night! I can not recommend it to enough people, especially without going into a 30min conversation about the whole evening! Thank you again & I look forward to enjoying every month of Delicious meals!!
... I recently purchased an instant read thermometer from ThermoWorks (www.ThermoWorks.com) and now all of my meals come out perfectly cooked. I realized how much I was overcooking things before.
..."My wife Kelly used your service for several months earlier this year. During that time, I literally developed an addiction to the Beef Enchilada Casserole. I have been going through withdrawals for the last 3 months as this item disappeared from your monthly menu. I believe that we purchased your remaining stock a couple of months back. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with the taste in my mouth and can't get back to sleep. Please help! ;)"
..."About a month ago I made the Greek turkey burgers during a party at your store and ABSOLUTLEY LOVE them! ...I need to make them again!"
..." I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that we had the Rosemary Flank Steak, Party Pork Tenderloin and the Creme Brulee French Toast and LOVED them all. These are great recipes and should be continued. I have had many compliments on all of them. I really love coming and making my meals at your shop. Keep up the good Work."
..."I have to tell you, and I know I have already said this in our conversations -- Time for Dinner is fantastic! It has totally made a difference in us eating plain, bland items to eating things that just taste awesome! Additionally, by splitting the orders, my family of 4 (one is an infant -- no table food yet) has the perfect portion sizes! And,everything is geared toward healthy eating with wonderful ingredients. One of our favorites was the turkey meatloaf from April -- that was just awesome!"
..."I wanted to tell you that one friend of mine came with me in April, and she has moved to Dallas now. She loved Time for Dinner so much that the first thing she did when she got to Dallas was find a place like yours (sort of). She said it was good, but not nearly as much fun. She also said the people there were not as friendly and they really frowned on any "modifications" of their recipes. So, she definitely will miss Time for Dinner...On to more meal reviews...We LOVED the Cod from May. Delicious! We had the Zesty Orange Chicken last night and again, that was VERY tasty! Oh - the picnic potatoes - those got an "amazing" rating from my 17-year-old. (That's a 5 in case you were wondering!) I can't remember everything we've had, but I know we have really enjoyed everything. There were no disappointments in May!"
..."I just wanted to let you know what a great experience I had on the 23rd while putting my dishes together, and then an even greater experience each time we try a new meal. I've tried the seasoned pork chops ( trimmed a little more when I got home, only because we avoid all fat), zesty orange chicken, and last night the chicken with artichoke and goat cheese (absolutely delicious ! ! ). I appreciate the side suggestions also. I've never added roasted pine nuts to wild rice but that was great. I'm telling everyone I know."
..."I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that we had the Rosemary Flank Steak, Party Pork Tenderloin and the Creme Brulee French Toast and LOVED them all. These are great recipes and should be continued. I have had many compliments on all of them. I really love coming and making my meals at your shop. Keep up the good Work."
...All parties come with some anxiety but when it comes to my husband's co-workers you can double it. I immediately know to call Time for Dinner. Thanks for helping to plan, prepare and present a successful dinner party.
..."Hi. I attended my first session last Wednesday. You asked for feedback about your menu items, so I thought I would give you some. So far, we have had 3 of the 12 dishes: Burritos, lemon cake and flank steak. All three were AWESOME!! My husband was skeptical, and I've been asking him to rate these dishes on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the best. The burritos (which he loved) were a 4; the lemon cake was also a 4 (although I think it was a 5). We had the flank steak last night, and THAT was a booming 5! My family absolutely loved it. I'm hooked. I've been telling everyone about you guys and I think I'm going to get some friends to join me next time. BUT, I don't care - I'd go alone!! It's fabulous! It's so wonderful not having to do the prep work for dinners with our busy schedules! I love it. You'll be seeing me again!!"
..."I'm glad you plan on sharing my e-mails... I feel good when I put a meal on the table that brings smiles to my kids and husband... your business helps to make that happen with little effort and a lot of fun. I know it's a 'small thing'..those smiles and compliments at the dinner table, but GOSH it sure is ful"filling". Ha! ....I'm truly serious. You all should feel good about what you do...it really brings families together!"
..."I tried Time for Dinner for the first time in January and loved it. My 2 daughters love the food too. I was wondering if Time for Dinner ever offers appetizers as a menu item. I have Bunko in March and it would be so convenient to have ready-made appetizers that I can pop in the oven to serve my Bunko girlfriends. Other occasions I thought people might find appetizers useful is around holidays as well as baby or bridal showers. Have appetizers ever been on the menu? "
..."Ladies, I just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed participating in Time for Dinner this month! My girlfriends and I had a great time. We especially enjoyed the ease of preparation and no cleaning up! My family has especially enjoyed the pizza calzones & the sombrero soup! Thanks again, and I look forward to coming in February."
..."I wanted to let you know that the gooey chocolate butter cake is absolutely heavenly!!! I made 13 meals on Saturday, and the gooey butter cake was number 13. I usually try not to order desserts, but it sounded soo good I could not resist. I made it for my family that day and it was gone in hours. It was by far the best chocolate cake that I have ever tasted. I don't know if you allow customers to come back in the same month and make only two meals. If so, I would be interested in making two additional orders of the cake. I will actually be in the area tomorrow night with my son and we could make two of them. If not, I perfectly understand...Your customer service and sincerity for your customers really sets TFD apart from your competitors."
..."I wanted to say thanks to you and your staff for a wonderful experience last Thursday and some great meals! You were welcoming and patient with my sister, Kris & I (we brought along her 5 month old). As a new mom, she has been hesitant to take the baby out. We had a wonderful time and Kris felt so good about having made "home cooked" meals for her husband. They've enjoyed the meals so much that he's ready to have her sign up every week!!! Rest assured that we'll be back regularly and will probably EACH have to have a full order next time!!! Our favorites (PLEASE do 'em again!): Balsamic Chicken, Pizza Calzones, Triple Chocolate Brownies, and Chicken Spedini. It really meant alot to us that you allow splitting meals at no additional cost AND that you are so accomodating with the baby. Many businesses are not so customer friendly. Thanks again!"
..."Thanks...I was there last Friday night with Nancy H's group. We were a ton of women chatting and trying to do our stations...I was sure I'd missed something! I'm hungry just THINKING about dinner! You have great recipes, quality ingredients and a staff that can't be beat. The friendliness quotient there is immeasurable and I truly hope to see your business flourish! I'm sure spreading the word here in Troy! Thanks again for your advice and information!"
..."The pumpkin pie cake last month was absolutely delicious. My mother wasn't sure about the pumpkin pie cake and so brought a pie of her own to our Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone raved about the cake - it disappeared quickly - and she went back home with most of her pie. Everything else went over well too - people raved about the mashed potatoes, the sweet potatoes, the stuffing, the bacon wrapped breadsticks. Dinner was a huge success!! Thanks - I enjoyed the help from TFD and all the praise that followed for me."
